A neuropsychological assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of how the brain is functioning. It examines cognitive abilities such as memory, attention, language, and executive functioning using standardized tests. The results help identify cognitive strengths and weaknesses and can inform diagnosis and treatment planning.
Psychoeducational assessments are typically sought for adolescents and adults who are experiencing academic difficulties, suspected learning disabilities (such as dyslexia or ADHD), or who need documentation of a diagnosis for academic accommodations.
Dr. Dugbartey offers individual therapy for adults addressing anxiety, depression, stress and anger management, bereavement, burnout, cultural adjustment, and general coping and life adjustment. Sessions are tailored to each person's unique needs and goals.
Assessment duration varies depending on the referral question and complexity. Most assessments take between 3–8 hours of testing, often conducted over multiple sessions. A written report is provided following the assessment with findings and recommendations.
